What is Indoor Air Quality?

The primary factors affecting indoor air quality are:

  • Freshness - a building needs a reliable source of fresh air or it becomes stale. The solution to indoor pollution is “dilution”.
  • Dust, dander, pollen - air must be thoroughly and constantly filtered to remove these particles
  • Bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi - These “living” microbes can thrive in your home unless controlled and eliminated.

Poor indoor air quality can cause or contribute to the following:

  • Health issues
  • Aggravate allergies and asthma
  • Can cause structural damage to dwellings
  • Can decrease energy efficiency within the home

Indoor Air Quality Systems

Why are indoor air quality systems important?

The air inside the average home can be up to 100 times more polluted  than outdoor air, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.  Indoor air is literally filled with particles that can cause illness and  aggravate asthma and other respiratory problems. Your entire home can  be under attack by dust, pollen, animal dander, bacteria, viruses,  fungi, and mold. These airborne invaders can actually live in your HVAC  system, where they can multiply and cause damage to your family and your  heating and cooling system.Since we live in the whole house, it’s important that we work to keep all the air fresh, clean, and pure. The illustration below demonstrates how our Indoor Air Quality systems vastly improve the air quality of the whole house. Fresh air ventilation , high efficiency filtration systems , UV light germicidal sanitation, and crawl space mold and moisture prevention are some of the indoor air  quality systems that work to help protect the HVAC system, the entire  home, and the family.  we offer several solutions to these problems!
